This was our first night/hotel in Italy for a weeks holiday/cruise. It was the closest location (left) for our onward rail connection to the west coast (Civitavecchia). Initially, it was hard to find the hotel (at night/dark) and its front door (which wasn't illuminated). Thankfully reception staff came downstairs to the front door and talked us onto their location by mobile phone. There's a small hotel name/plaque at the front door, with several other plaques within the multi storey building (not easy to see, hence the issue). We were taken upstairs (used the small lift) to reception. The Philippine staff were very friendly and efficient, explaining everything that we needed to know for our one night's stay. A clean, small room, with a Tv, at 158 euros for 2 (146 UKP). We also had to pay 7 euros at reception ref city tax. You get no breakfast for this price. Expensive for what you get. The next day we were allowed to keep our luggage in a safe room whilst we walked out locally looking for breakfast (McDonald's is a short distance away and was ample). Our room was nothing like the advertisement/photo shown to the left of this review (we had half the size of room). We had to check out at 11am. The best thing about our stay was the staff, which we'd like to thank.

The hotel was at a really good place, close to all the attractions. The downside was that it was hard to find as there were no signs to indicate it. We booked for a triple room and they gave us a double, saying that it could become a triple, we asked to change rooms but they didn't do it and treated us as we were stupid and didn't comprehend what they were saying. Furthermore, the heating was not working properly and at night it was rather cold! Also, the duvets on the bed were dirty and had to ask 3 times for them to be changed. The walls were paper thin and we could hear the people from the rooms next door.

My friend and I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights and we absolutely loved the place. The room was really clean and the staff was attentive. The receptionist was truly helpful and was there for us when we needed. Although the room was not huge, it was enough and the bathroom was bigger than I expected. One small tip, if you are visiting Rome during the winter months, leave the AC on while you are out, so that you can return to a warm room. P.S. Thanks for the free bottle of champagne and chocolates :)

Myself and Girlfriend stayed here for 3 nights in the middle of October here’s what we found. We ordered airport transfer through the ‘hotel’ 10€ extra than the going rate but thought it would be more safe secure, the driver was no where to be seen, tried phoning the ‘hotel’ to no avail and then the two numbers provided for the transfer, they answered and said it would be 10 minutes, after 25 minutes I phoned back and was told 2 minutes - eventually he turned up after about a total of 40 minutes, this was the only the start of the experience. We arrived at the destination had no idea where to go as it was just a run down apartment block with no signs or directions. We went up a floor and come to a little reception desk for the ‘Rome Central Inn’ with nobody there, we waited a couple of minutes and it turned out to be the correct place. Although we previously agreed an early check inn the room wasn’t ready and so the receptionist put the bags round the corner (not secure) and told us to check in later. We went for some lunch around the Piazza Del Popolo, upon returning the room was ready; we paid the city tax and also the €50 deposit (in cash, I’ll come back to this) and we were given 3 keys, one for the apartment block, one for the floor of the hotel and one for the room. On entering Room 106 which was not easy due to the door opening outwards, it looked clean and was well presented even if a little old fashioned this is about as good as it got; The shower didn’t work properly and was at times cold, the flow of water was more like a trickle also it was tiny with no shelves for products making showering very difficult and unpractical. There was no mirror in the room making doing makeup and hair more difficult, there was a chip in the mirror in the shower room and the door frame was falling off. When opening the beside draws they practically collapsed and were unusable making things difficult as there was a lack of coat hangers. Got bit one night and bled on the bedding, this wasn’t changed although the towels were daily. There was never anyone from the hotel to complain to and the phone was either engaged or not answered which caused worry about the 50€; luckily we managed to get through on the phone on the last day and got the deposit back. The location was quite good but that’s about it.
